George Richard Mistro

January 21, 1930 - March 28, 2018

George Richard Mistro, a 42 year resident of Frankfort, IL, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2018 at the age of 88.
George was a retired electrician, and most of the locals knew him simply as “George the electrician”. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, and served in the Korean war.
George is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Pauline (nee Durrette) Mistro; daughter Dawn (Rich) Hasty; sons George A. Mistro & Scot (Nancy) Mistro; sisters Janet (Raymond) Norkus & Elaine (Jim) Corkery; brothers Leroy (the late Connie) & Raymond (Janice) Mistro, as well as 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers Victor Jr., Wally & Harry.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Gerardi Funeral Home, 9501 West Lincoln Hwy (1 block east of LaGrange Rd. on Rt. 30) Frankfort, IL. Services will be held on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of prayers at 10:00 am. at the funeral home. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
