Calvin Robert Lexow

March 14, 1927 - May 8, 2019

Calvin Robert Lexow, age 92 late of Frankfort, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 8, 2019.

Calvin was a Veteran of the US Navy, where he ranked as a Fireman First Class WWII active duty, he had also served on the Honor Guard at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Calvin retired from Blue M Electric where he was a designer draftsman/engineer. He also enjoyed model ship building, woodworking and painting.

Calvin will be dearly missed by his daughters; Patti (Rick) Dunn, Lisa (Keith)  Heldt, Dawn (Tim) Milo, sons; Michael (Debra) Lexow, Shaun (Mary Pat) Lexow, grandchildren; Anna (Brian) Schickowski, Travis (Lisa) Lausa, Christopher (Amanda) Lexow, Kristin Heldt, Alexander Heldt, Samantha, Caitlin, Matthew, Jacob, great-grandchildren; Reisig, Cayden, Sophia, Emmy & Calvin.

He was preceded in death by his wife Leona (nee Kruse), his parents Emil & Mildred, sisters; Jacqueline Perschau & Shirley Ayers, brother Leroy, and granddaughter Jennifer Iliff Lexow.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 13 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Trinity Evangelical Christian Church, 26900 South Will Center Road, Monee, IL.  Services are on Tuesday at 10:00 at the church, followed by a Military Honor Service at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.  A luncheon will follow at Silver Dollar Restaurant, 422 E Mississippi Ave, in Elwood. Interment will be held at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
