Ruth Schram Nieland

April 10, 1916 - September 22, 2016

Ruth Schram (nee Nieland) age 100 late of Frankfort, IL passed away peacefully at Lemont Nursing Home on September 22, 2016.

Preceded in death by her husband Burnett (1994); sons, Alan & Arlan; sister, Mae Hartung; brother, Ralph Nieland, and grandchild, Kara Schram.

Survived by daughter, Kay (the late Scott) Stahl; son, Keith (Teri) Schram;  grandchildren, James (Kristen), Kevin, Cindy, Randall (Coni), Aaron (Heather) and Dustin Schram; Jeremy (Catherine) and Timothy (Jennifer) Stahl; and Stephanie (Daniel) Scher; great grandchildren, Nathan, Jessica, Jacob, Addison, Dylan, and Payton Schram; Ryan, Tyler, Connor, and Claire Stahl; Harrison Scher; and Catherine and David Eggert; and daughters in law, Jill Bojan and Joan Schram

 

Ruth worked for the United States Postal Service and was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, its Women’s Fellowship, Royal Neighbors of America and APWU.

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 25, 2016 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Gerardi Funeral Home, 9501 West Lincoln Hwy (1 block east of LaGrange Rd. on Rt. 30) Frankfort, IL.  Funeral will be held on Monday September 26, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Frankfort, IL. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
