Russell J. Elwell

June 27, 1951 - September 2, 2015

 

Elwell, Russell J. age 64 of Frankfort, IL passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. He fought a year long battle with pancreatic cancer.  He devoted lots of his time to his family and friends. He was a skilled craftsman and loved the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.  A loving husband, brother, father, and grandfather.  Born on June 27, 1951, he was the son of the late Charles and Gladys Elwell (Krohne), Brother of the late Ron Elwell and Michael Elwell, Husband of the late Connie Elwell (Mark).  Russell is survived by brothers Charles(Caroline)Elwell and Richard Mark; sister Choral(Kirk)Nissen; 5 daughters, Michelle Elwell, Angela(Bryan) Borys, Carla(Dave) Galati, Tonya Elwell, Amber(Colin) Norwich; son Bill Elwell; 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.  Visitation will be held at Gerardi Funeral Home, 9501 W. Lincoln Hwy, Frankfort, IL on Tuesday September 8, 2015 from 3-9pm.  Funeral services held at Gerardi Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 10am.  Interment immediately following the service at Rose Hill Cemetery, Frankfort, IL.  In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to Rose Hill Cemetery.
