Rose Marie Vaughan (nee Rak)

April 27, 1934 - February 14, 2019

Rose Marie Vaughan (nee Rak), 84, of Park Forest, IL.  passed away and ran into her savior, Jesus’ arms on February 14, 2019.

Rose and her husband Don were blessed with 6 children, 15 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

Rose not only enjoyed life, but she also loved family gatherings, cooking, going out for lunch and dinner with family and friends, visits at home from her brother, children and grandchildren and attending her church life group.

She was an amateur artist, loved fishing and being near lakes and oceans while on vacation.

She was an entrepreneur in sales and at one time a business owner at the Merchandise Mart, and later in life was a senior care giver.

Rose was a loving, generous, cheerful and kind woman and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her daughters; Patrice Vaughan, Terri Minkler (the late William), Elise Case (Thomas), Sherise Marinich (Steve), son Donald Vaughan, Jr. (Susan), sister Lorraine DesLaurier (Robert), brother Paul Rak (Michele), 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald Vaughan Sr., parents Joseph and Stacia Rak, and her daughter Denise Wietting (Ronald).

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at Christian Life Center, 6363 183rd St, Tinley Park, IL from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
