Richard Anhalt

October 12, 1955 - December 9, 2017

Richard Thomas Anhalt, age 62 late of Griffith, Indiana, formerly of Frankfort, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and loved ones, on December 9, 2017.

Richard was an avid gardener with a great sense of humor. He was a very hard worker who barely stopped to rest. A resident of Frankfort for over 25 years, Richard was a volunteer fireman/EMT for the small town he resided in. His favorite sports teams included the Chicago Blackhawks, Bears and Cubs.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Thomas George Anhalt.

He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years Sandra (nee Corrozzo), his mother Shirley O’Brien, daughter Denise (George); son’s Josh (Kelly), Chad (Tami), Richard Jr., Travis, Cody, Jeff and Tony; brother’s David and Joe (Linda); grandchildren Kyla, Hunter, Mack, Emery, Tyler, Cody, Cyan, Anthony, Nicky, Maxine, A.J, Joey, Christian; great-grandchildren Braidon & Noah, and his beloved fur babies Tommy & Angel.

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gerardi Funeral Home, 9501 West Lincoln Hwy (1 block east of LaGrange Rd. on Rt. 30) Frankfort, IL.  Funeral will be held on Monday from 9:00 am until the time of services at 10:00 am. Interment immediately following at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
