Louis Skowronski

January 4, 1946 - September 16, 2015

Louis “Greg” Skowronski, age 69, of Frankfort, IL passed away September 16, 2015. Louis leaves behind his loving wife Lois (nee) Coco, daughter Marina (Patrick) Brennan, sister Mary Agnes (Michael) Pauls, brothers Lawrence (Karen) and Raymond (Carol), grandson Patrick Lawrence Brennan Jr., and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Louis was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Louis.

Louis was a retired teacher, but still loved getting together with his colleagues for their ROMEO club. (Retired Old Men Eating Out). A past high school and semi-pro college football coach, he was an active member of the AFA, where he was inducted into the American Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame due to numerous national semi-pro championships. Louis was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

 

Visitation will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Frankfort, IL on Wednesday September 23, 2015 from 9:30 am until the time of mass at 11:30 am.  Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to Gift of Hope, American Kidney Fund or National Kidney Foundation.
