Louis John Katula

August 10, 1939 - September 29, 2016

Louis John Katula, age 77 late of Mokena, IL, dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa (the late John) Avants; brothers, Arthur (Jean) and Robert (Jean).

Survived by his wife Nanci; sons, Michael (Concetta “Connie”), Dr. Garrett (Deborah), and Dr. Jeffrey (Kristen); sister, Mary Anne (the late Wayne) Eggert; brother Thomas (Judi); grandchildren, Daniel, Timothy, Kimberlee, Elizabeth, Joseph, Rebecca, Zachary, Khloe, Caden and Kyle, and many nieces and nephews.

Louis was an avid golfer.

Memorial visitation will be held on October 11, 2016 from 10:00 am until the time of mass at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena, IL. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to American Cancer Society. Arrangements by Gerardi Funeral Home.
