Linda Falejczyk (nee) Layton

September 20, 1941 - January 1, 2017

Linda L. Falejczyk (nee Layton) age 75, a longtime resident of Frankfort, IL formerly of Blue Island, IL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on January 1, 2017.

Linda’s hobbies included going to concerts, attending plays with her sister, she was an avid Chicago Bears & Chicago Cubs fan. Her greatest pride was her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Jeanine (Bobby) Gonzalez; son, Matthew (Cindy) Falejczyk; sister, Pamela Layton; grandchildren, Craig Buckner, Michael, Hannah and Joseph Falejczyk, and Gavin Gonzalez.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, and parents Ray and Marie Lewis.

Visitation will be held on Thursday January 5, 2017 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Gerardi Funeral Home, 9501 West Lincoln Hwy (1 block east of LaGrange Rd. on Rt. 30) Frankfort, IL.  Funeral will be held on Friday. Family & friends will meet at the funeral home at 9:00, with prayers and procession to the church at 9:30 for mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mokena, IL. Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort, IL.   In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials to St. Christina Catholic School, 3333 W 110th St, Chicago, IL 60655, or Providence Catholic High School, 1800 W Lincoln Hwy, New Lenox, IL 60451.
