Judy was the heart of so many of the good things in Frankfort, and the village will not be the same without her. Everyone who knew her misses her, but her legacy of volunteering and working to make the village a better place will live on always. Sincerest condolences to John and her family.

The Village of Frankfort has lost a treasure. We will miss our good friend, Judy. We will remember her every time we go downtown or attend a Concert on the Green or visit the Children's Museum, Historical Museum, the bark park or Fort Frankfort. She did so much for all the people of Frankfort.

I'm so sorry for you loss. My deepest sympathies to Judith's family. I personally know the loss of both a mother and grandmother, and the pain can seem overwhelming. I found comfort in the Bible's promise for the future. Acts 24:15 speaks of a resurrection, a time when God will reunite us with our lost loved ones. I hope this helps bring some comfort in this time of sorrow.

Judy's passions were contagious, and anything that was good for Frankfort was important for her to support. I feel so honored and privileged to have had her for a friend...I only wish we would have had more time together. We were Sigma Kappa Alumnae together. We shared our love of art, music, and a love for Frankfort's history. The Frankfort house walk is magnificent, because of Judy. The Kids Work Museum is thriving, because of Judy, The Frankfort Historical Society, Fort Frankfort, and the the dog park are all Judy's gifts to Frankfort. It will take many people to even start to fill the emptiness in the heart of Frankfort that her death has created. We can honor Judy with our donations, but we must also honor her memory by helping to continue her work as a volunteer for anything that's good for Frankfort. I think she would like that...and I promise to volunteer! Margi Hafer

My sincerest sympathies to John and the extended Herder family. What a wonderful person Judy was. As a transplant to Frankfort, I learned quickly how integral she was to the community. Judy touched many lives; in many ways. She was a community treasure and I feel very honored to have known this extremely kind, warm, funny and dedicated woman. Fondly, Kelly Renaud

Judy Herder was an outstanding woman and touched many lives in Frankfort. Whenever I saw her she was smiling and \"doing\" for her village. It was an honor to know her. She was loved by many and will be missed. I was lucky to have known her.
