In 1981 a track pony horse owned by Jack Treadway was referred to me, so I did not have the horse he sold me vet checked. Larry Barr and his friend went to his farm to pick up a 'pony horse' from this CROOK. There was absolutely nowhere to ride to test this horse named Beau but was assured that he was sound and was a great pony horse. I promise he said. No arena just piles of snow to test ride this sorrel gelding on. $1500.00 CASH I paid him for this broken down/killer ready horse. Just found this obituary today. Jack Treadway was a very dishonest person. I wonder how many other people he swindled in his lifetime???????

Jack was my good friend for 65 yrs-all my life.Jack could trade anything but best of all he could trade a horse-he\'d ridden the best and the worst. It will always be Jack and Pat to me. They gave a teenage girl a good healthy, safe place to ride her horse-down 151st turn, left on Parker and come on in.I have many fond memories of Jack and Pat whether it was showing one of their horses, discussing someones horsemanship(bucked off ) or just sharing a few(OK, a lot of) cool ones. There was laughter and quick whit. I always knew I would see Jack when I returned to IL because he was still close to my brother Ken and sis-in law De. Even though my last trip home for my brother\'s funeral was not happy,Jack made it happy by arranging for him,me and Pat to get together. Thanks Jack.I\'LL SAY IT-Jack was the best looking guy I\'ve ever seen! Jack went to heaven whipping and spurring.God be with us all.Happy Trails my friend.
