George Robert Lehman

June 21, 1975 - February 16, 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of George R. Lehman, from Frankfort, Illinois, announces his passing on February 16, 2018.  George was a loving and devoted husband and best friend to his loving wife, Maria Lehman (nee Speziale) and a loving and devoted father to his loving son G. Hunter Lehman and loving daughter Victoria Lehman.  He is also survived by his mother, Susan Sterchele (nee Howe).  His death was preceded by that of his father, George C. Lehman.

George received his Bachelors of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance as well as his Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University in Chicago.  He was a licensed CPA and was a member of the Illinois CPA Society and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.  He was active in the Illinois CPA Society as a Chairman of the Individual Taxation IRS Legislative Subcommittee, a member of the Annual Tax Conference Planning Subcommittee, and had been a volunteer for the Military Tax Assistance Program Professional Tax Preparation.

George was a licensed pilot and member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.  He also served as a Secretary of the Naperville Flying Club.  George loved to fly with his family and friends to explore new places.

George will forever be lovingly remembered by his family and friends.

A memorial visitation will be held in celebration of his life at Gerardi Funeral Home, 9501 West Lincoln Highway, Frankfort, Illinois on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Private Interment will follow on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, 7201 Archer Road, Justice, Illinois, 60458.
