Francis E. “Frank” Delaney 86 of Frankfort, Illinois, formerly of Chicago & Matteson, Illinois passed away on January 9th, 2023. Frank was the 7th son of Martin and Mary Delaney. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brothers Patrick, Martin, Larry, Dan Michael and John, and his sweetheart Maureen Murray. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Frank was a plumber and was active in the Local 130 Plumbers Union for 60 years. His passion was Music and Poetry. He wrote and owned the copyright for over 300 songs and numerous poems. He was a member of Musicians Local 257 in Nashville Tennessee. He was a member of the Country Music Association, National Songwriters Association, and the ASCAP Recording Academy. Frank published three books of his Poems and Music entitled “The War”, “Memories: Minutes in Time”, and “Melody of Kentucky: A little bit more than Love”. His books are stored in numerous libraries across the country. He was most proud to have his books stored in the library at Notre Dame University. Frank was an avid bowler. He played in many leagues and had a perfect 300 game to his credit.

Internment of cremains will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Evergreen Park, IL. Arrangements by Gerardi Funeral Home, Frankfort, IL. {815) 469-2144.
