Edward Chlebek

July 2, 1922 - August 4, 2017

Edward Chlebek, age 95 late of New Lenox, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on August 4, 2017.

Edward was a retired member of the American Foundry Society and a longtime member of the Blue Island Racing Pigeon Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Alice (nee Peksa) Chlebek; daughter, Dawn Hill; sisters, Francis (the late John) Fago, Viola (the late Bernie) Arrivo; brothers, Stanley (Alice) Chlebek, Leonard (the late Gertrude) Chlebek and Gene (Maryanne) Chlebek.

Edward is survived by his wife of 73 years, Anna Marie (nee Phillippe), his son Mike (Carole) Chlebek; grandchildren, Kimberly (Mark) Brown, Chris (Denny) Chlebek, April (Tim) VanDerBent and David (Rachael) Hill, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 9th, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gerardi Funeral Home,  9501 West Lincoln Hwy  (1 block east of LaGrange Rd. on Rt. 30) Frankfort, IL.  Services Thursday, August 10, 2017 at  10:00 a.m. at funeral home.  Interment Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Frankfort, IL.   For Funeral information 815-469-2144 or 708-754-2114.
