Charles E. Eaheart

June 17, 1943 - February 6, 2017

Charles “Chuck” E. Eaheart, age 73 a resident of Frankfort, IL for over 40 years passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on February 6th, 2017. Charles leaves behind his loving wife of over 52 years Margaret (née Goga); daughter Tricia (Daryl) Gunter; sons, Chuck Jr. (Kim), Steve (Dana) and Keith (Sarah); grandchildren Kelsey, Kyle, Taylor, Ryleigh and Aidan; brothers Harry (Theresa) and John (Ellyn). Charles was preceded in death by his parents Harry & Katherine.

Chuck was the life of the party and everyone he met felt they had found their new best friend. He was a “jack of all trades” and helped his neighbors every chance he got, no matter what the task at hand.

Family was most important to Chuck, especially his grandchildren who were his pride and joy. He made sure he attended many of their school functions and sporting events. He loved the outdoors, traveling, watching golf, comedy and western movies and his beloved “2016 World Champion Chicago Cubs”

Chuck retired from Electro Motive Division after 36 years of service, collected many replicas of the locomotives that he helped build and throughout the years remained good friends with many of his fellow co-workers.

Charles will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am until the time of prayers at 9:30 am at Gerardi Funeral Home, 9501 West Lincoln Hwy (1 block east of LaGrange Rd. on Rt. 30) Frankfort, IL. Immediately following prayers will be the procession to St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr, 17500 84^th Ave., Tinley Park, IL., for Mass of the Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for a cancer charity of their choice.
